Dates for Oman's first twins gathering announced

Muscat: 3,000 twins will participate in the first multiple birth celebration event in Oman scheduled for November 2019.

The twins carnival will be held at the Oman Automobile Association (OAA), on the weekend days of November 22 and 23.

According to the organisers, the gathering will include twins, triplets and quadruplets.
Mohammed Al Baloshi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Omani Business Services Center (TASAHEEL) said: "These two days were chosen because of the weekend so that participants from outside the Governorate of Muscat can attend and participate in the festival."

"The Omani Automobile Association was chosen because of its privileged location on the main street as well as the ease of entry and exit. It is also close to the Muscat International Airport and will help those coming from Musandam and Dhofar or from outside the Sultanate reach the site easily," Al Baloshi added.

The festival aims to gather the largest number of twins, Omanis and residents in one place to make it the first and largest march of this kind. Folklore bands as well as various other options like restaurants and game pavilions will be available besides discussion sessions, theater, a talent corner, a children's corner and sessions on health education.

Yesterday, the Omani Business Services Center signed an agreement with Oman Automobile Association (OAA) to host the Oman Twins gathering.
