APAVE has multiple opening positions for technical inspection projects in Oman as follows:
- NDT Inspectors (UT, MT, PT or RT ASNT/PCN L2 Certified) with 5 years’ experience in the industry,
- Advanced NDT Inspectors ( MFL, PAUT, TOFD, LR UT or ECT Tube Inspector L2 ASNT Certified) with 5 years of experience in the industry.
- IRATA Rope Access Level 3 Supervisors with 10 years experience in the same position & IRATA Rope Access technicians Level 1 & 2
- Project Planner with 4 years experience - Evidence of training courses on: Project schedule 6/7, MS excel and word, Primavera. Comprehensive knowledge on engineering, NDT and isometric drawings.
- Inspection Supervisor
BSc or HND in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, metallurgy or relevant Engineering. Experience in a similar position may be accepted with appropriate qualifications in inspection and NDE
Certification to API 510 (pressure Vessels), API 653(Storage Tanks) API 570 (Piping)
ASNT Level II in UT, PT, MT, RT
10 years experience in oil & gas or petrochemical industries in inspection of pressure vessels, mechanical fabrication, construction, coatings and NDE. 5 years experience in a supervisory position.
Shall be a Graduate Engineer (B.Sc. Eng. / BE/B.Tech.) either in Mechanical/Metallurgical/Welding/ as appropriate.
Shall be an IRCA, UK Registered Lead Assessor or equivalent (where equivalent is proposed, Supplier shall provide evidence of equivalence from International Accreditation Body (ies).
Shall have minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in onshore oil and gas facility construction, including live installations. Out of 12 years of experience, 5 years of experience shall have gained in the Middle East. He shall have a minimum of 5 years management experience in establishment, operation and maintenance of quality management system in accordance with ISO/TR 29001 / ISO 9000 with the capability of developing quality system, quality plans, work procedures and inspection plans.
Shall have sound technical knowledge in materials, welding, coating/painting, NDE inspection and general construction activities
Shall have experience of working to and fully familiar with codes and standards such as from ANSI, ASME, ASTM, API and BS codes used in oil and gas industries.
Good communication & training skills, strongly developed drive & initiative for quality improvement.
BSc or HND in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, metallurgy or material science. Relevant experience in a similar position may be accepted with appropriate qualifications in inspection and NDE
Evidence of previous training or courses in NDT techniques & corrosion principles
Minimum 10 years in oil & gas industry.
Minimum 5 years in managing Maintenance Inspection & NDT Contracts.
Substantial experience in managing a similar operation and technical knowledge of Maintenance Inspection and NDT techniques.
Shall be fully able to discuss technical inspection matters with the Company REPRESENTATIVE
Valid ASNT Level III qualification in UT, RT, MPI, DPI and/or VT, as required per SNT-TC-1A 1992 for the applicable ASNT Written Practices and ASNT- PERSONNEL qualifications.
Minimum 10 years in oil & gas industry.
Minimum 5 years in Maintenance Inspection & NDT.
Comprehensive working knowledge of ASNT Written Practices, conducting training, Maintenance Inspection & NDT techniques, and corrosion principles.
Experience on internal quality auditing.
Good communication & training skills.
Vocational qualification, OND or equivalent ,
A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position
A minimum of 5 years experience in the Oil/Gas or Petrochemical Industry, preferably within Operation and Maintenance Environment.
Computer literate on Windows operating systems and Microsoft office
Incident investigation and reporting
Implement and Maintain the Safety Standards and Practices as defined in the Document C-9 ‘HSE Specifications and Medical Conditions’.
Work with all personnel engaged on the Contract and with Company Safety Adviser and Company Site Representative, to ensure that all SERVICES are performed in a safe and effective manner.
Focal point for the Contractor monthly HSE meetings
Compile and review STOP Cards for input into Company HSE System
To Maintain up-to-date the Contractor HSE training Matrix
To organize daily tools box meeting.
To carry out vehicle compliance check and to ensure Contractor vehicles are timely maintained.
To carry out regular checks on personnel PPE’s and to give site induction for new personnel
Personal Computer complete with MS Office, printer and CD-ROM writer. Email access, fax and scanner
HND in mechanical engineering , metallurgy or relevant Eng. qualification
Certification to API 510 (Pressure Vessels) & API 653 (Storage Tanks) API 570 (Piping)
CSWIP 3.1 for welding and ASNT Level II in NDT disciplines
Coating Inspector Grade 2 preferable ie TWI equivalent

LIFTING EQUIPMENT INSPECTOR
Have ONC or City & Guilds in mechanical engineering
Qualified as a competent Person by LEEA or equivalent.
Have a minimum of 5 years experience in inspection of lifting equipment.
Be familiar with “Procedure PR-1708 for Lifting Equipment Inspection, Testing and Certification”.
Be fluent in spoken and written Arabic and/or English.
Computer literate in Windows operating system.
CIMS Data Analysts
Vocational qualification, OND or equivalent.
A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position
A minimum of 3 years experience in use of CIMS inspection and corrosion management system or similar database management systems.
Ability to read and explain Process and Engineering drawings.
Good understanding of piping classes, design code
