Role Purpose

To achieve Corporate sales growth by managing all activities of the Corporate Sales Division and designing and implementing sales strategies in order to ensure achievement of sales targets.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES

Strategy Planning and Implementation
Design and implement Sales initiatives to support corporate strategy
Establish Sales plans and provide input to Corporate Unit goals that support Omantel’s overall sales strategy
Contribute to target setting and provide input to measurement of Corporate Business Unit scorecard
Support corporate business goals by ensuring adherence to operating budget for Sales Division
Collaborate with Business and Functional Units to identify Corporate projects that meet future business needs
Budgeting
Manage the operational budgeting cycle and provide input to the budgeting process
Review monthly, weekly, and annual reports to ensure adherence to the operating budget of the Corporate Sales Division
Formulate strategies that result in positive financial impact for the organization and mitigates financial and operational risks
Provide input to funding, expense, cash flow and budgetary controls
Sales
Review achievement of sales targets on a monthly basis and approve sales incentives
Initiate advanced training in sales skills to new account managers delivered via the training centre
Develop solid relationships with existing and new corporate customers to ensure productive and consistent sales growth
Develop sales promotions in collaboration with Marketing Division
Review and sign-off on periodic sales targets and forecast reports
Provide support to key accounts department to close deals and ensure service is delivered on time
Resolve escalated issues with key clients
Participate in negotiation discussions of the final terms of contracts with key corporate customers
Sales Support
Oversee the review of sales contracts to determine whether the services are feasible, can be implemented on time given the available resources and technology requirements
Contribute to development of business relations across all sectors (Corporate Sales, Government, Holding Groups, and SMEs)
Provide support in coordination and communication with Network Planning and Design to plan network requirements of Corporate customers
Monitor OLAs and SLAs between Corporate sales and Integrated Network and Technology Unit to ensure activation and coordination of services
Supervise coordination with Network and IT of escalated issues such as activation and other technical requirements
Reporting
Review weekly, monthly and yearly reports based on sales target and revenue results and report to Vice President Corporate and other relevant Corporate Divisions on customer retention, product and service launches, regulatory and social activities
Review and approve periodical reports provided by Corporate, SME and Key Accounts Sales Departments in order to address potential customer issues and to develop customer relationships
People Management
Motivate Senior Management and empower direct reports by providing the necessary tools and support required to support Sales goals
Plan, manage, and review individual performance and provide regular feedback, development and coaching, taking prompt action where necessary
Establish clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility and monitor the workflow of the Sales Division
Build opportunities for Sales Division members to suggest, participate in and contribute to improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing initiatives
Provide guidance and ensure that the Sales Division complies with Omantel's policies, processes, practices and systems

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Knowledge / Technical Skills

Thorough understanding of Omani market (industrial and financial sectors)
Good knowledge of telecom products, features and benefits for the customers

Education / Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or IT or in a similar field
10 years of total experience & at least 5 years in a managerial position
