Our client, a company that manufactures building materials chemicals is looking to recruit a Sales Representative

Job Responsibilities:

Manage and conduct sales of products both directly and in co-operation with existing sales operations and in line with the allocated budget and company business plan.
Ensure that the customer base is being expanded in a structured and sustainable way. Identify how to approach and win new customers, examine profitability of each customer account, in particular diligently checking the creditworthiness and financial stability of new and existing accounts.

Assist where necessary to secure project specifications and direct sales with Sales, Specification and Business Development staff.
Develop and maintain relationships and contacts at all levels and in particular with the senior management of key accounts.

Identify and cultivate relationships with influencers involved in the sales and approval process.
Develop solutions, relationships and contacts with the stakeholders of key projects, clients and consultants from concept and design, through tender to award.
Identify, qualify and quantify gaps in the market in terms of product and opportunities and report back to the relevant divisional product/market manager.
Conduct competitor analysis and ensure knowledge is correctly circulated to all relevant departments.

Produce monthly reports reporting back on highlights, low points, major projects and orders, competition, key market information and any complaints from customers.
Prepare and submit case histories and job references on a weekly basis through the correct documentation, including photographs, text and approvals where required.
Forecast demand in terms of product and volume on a monthly basis and report to line manager.

Regular contact with Key Customers and Major Projects to keep abreast of changing customer requirements, market conditions, and to gain feedback on customer satisfaction and provide necessary peer level sales support to the sales teams and specification teams.


Bachelor's degree

Experience in Building Materials/ Chemicals industry is required
