Oman's Supreme Committee, which deals with the impact of Covid19 in the Sultanate has added some countries to the list of banned passengers. The Arab Republic of Egypt and the Philippines are the new addition to the list. The ban comes into effect starting at 9 am on Friday, 7 May 2021 until further notice.
The coming from Egypt and Philippines and those who had passed through any of the said two countries in the 14 days preceding the request for entry to the Sultanate are banned from entry.
The suspension of entry into the Sultanate for those coming from the Republic of Sudan, the Lebanese Republic, the Republic of South Africa, the Federal Republic of Brazil, the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Federal Republic of Tanzania, the Republic of Ghana, the Republic of Guinea, the Republic of Sierra Leone, the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, the United Kingdom, the Republic of India, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of Bangladesh, and those coming from any other country if they passed through any of these countries during the 14 days prior to the application for entry to the Sultanate has been extended until further notice.
Omani citizens, diplomats, health workers and their families are excluded from the ban.
