Silver medal for Photographic Society of Oman in global photo contest

Muscat: The International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) yesterday announced that the Photographic Society of Oman of the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science (SQHCCS) won the silver medal at the 28th Colour FIAP Biennial in Spain in the colour print section.

The winning picture is ‘Glowing Spirits’.

This competition is held every two years. The 28th Colour FIAP Biennial includes two sections.

The first is the colour print section. The entry is limited to 10 photographs per federation with a maximum of one work per photographer.




The second section is the Digital Colour Images and the entry is limited to a maximum of 20 photographs per federation with a maximum of two works per photographer.

The award presentation ceremony will be held in November 2019 on the sidelines of the 3rd Congress of the Spanish Confederation of Photography.
