Three months to stop all alternate businesses in farms

Muscat: People who have opened other businesses inside of their farms have three months in order to stop these activities or face legal repercussions, the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources has said.

A statement by the Ministry read: “The Ministry sends a notice that some owners of farm lands have allowed the opening of trading, industrial, or storage products inside of these farms, which violates current regulations and laws."

“The ministry urges these owners to stop working on the activities mentioned above within three months following this announcement. Once the period has ended, legal action will be taken against violators."

“The ministry has absolute faith in the cooperation of everyone for the greater good,” the statement added.
