The United Arab Emirates and Israel today signed a peace treaty between the two countries at the White House in Washington DC. The Kingdom of Bahrain has signed a declaration of support for peace with Israel.
According to Wall Street Journal, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, who led the UAE delegation in signing the accord, stated that the accord has stopped annexation and the Palestinian leadership should "re-engage in productive discussions".
The accord signing was attended by the Israeli premiere Benjamin Netanyahu. The deal was presided over by US President Donald Trump.
